This is to inform the general public especially prospective Direct Entry (DE) students of the Sule Lamido University that the school management has released the admission list of successful candidates for the 2024/2025 academic session. View HERE
Collection of Original Letters of Admission and Registration are scheduled to commence on Monday, 18th November, 2024 to Friday, 2nd 2024 at Room G25, Senate Building, Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa.
Admitted Students are to log into their JAMB Profile to accept their Admissions and print JAMB Letter of Admission,
They are also requested to come along with their Original Credentials, Two (2) Passport Sized Photographs, JAMB Letter of Admission, Original JAMB Result and pay a non-refundable Acceptance Fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, in favour of Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa via wwwadmissionsslu.ng/aceeptance.

How to Check Name on SLU Admission List
SLU aspirants can check their admission status via two ways (2). The first one can be either through the JAMB’s Portal, or via a downloadable pdf which would be posted on this page when lists are released.
Check Admission Status Via the JAMB’s Portal
Candidates can check their admission status via JAMB CAPS portal by following the instructions below:
- Visit the jamb CAPS portal: https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
- Log in using your JAMB profile credentials.
- Navigate to ‘Check Admission Status’ tab.
- Click on ‘Admission Status’ or ‘Access my CAPS’.
- If on mobile, enable desktop site view by selecting the three-dotted menu (⋮) usually on the top right side of your screen. Then select ‘Desktop site’.
- The option bar ‘Admission Status’ will automatically pop out. Click on it. You can also click on Access my CAPS’ for admission status and other CAPS-related services.
- This process will show you whether you’ve been offered admission to SLU once the university has uploaded its admission list to the JAMB system.
Possible Scenarios:
- Case 1: If you see “CONGRATULATIONS,” it means you’ve been offered admission! You can either accept or reject it and wait for further instructions.
- Case 2: If the status says “Admission in Progress,” be patient; your status might likely change in a few days or weeks. Just keep checking regularly.
- Case 3: If it says “NOT ADMITTED,” don’t lose hope! There are usually subsequent lists, and you might still get lucky.
This process will show you whether you’ve been offered admission to SLU once the university has uploaded its admission list to the JAMB system.
If Admitted, you can print your admission slip directly from the portal.

About SLU
Sule Lamido University, located in Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State, Nigeria, is a state-owned institution that was established on May 13, 2013.
It was licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in July 2013 as Jigawa State University, with full academic operations commencing in September of the same year.
However, in December 2014, the university’s name was officially changed following a bill passed by the Jigawa State House of Assembly.
The pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu, laid the foundation for the university’s academic journey.
